I would like to tell the story of 2 amazing people. Monica G is one of the most patient people God has created. She organize events for children and fundraise so there is money for the children to enjoy the events for free. She donates time, money, and talent to some of the poorest communities. She is truely an angel on earth. Mrs. S is another angel on earth. She is a given person; her time, her home, and her love. She is the mother of several foster children who are BEAUTIFUL people. She prepare breakfast for her children teachers and volunteer at her children schools. She tutors struggling students with patience and love.

I am one of those people who hates litter. In my yard, on my street, in my world. So instead of complaining about it, I spend some time each day when I get home from work cleaning my street of litter. It is a great way to get to know your neighbors. (People always tend to come out when they see someone cleaning up in front of their house) and the results are always so satisfying. My granddaughter helped me once and now everytime she comes over she wants to go clean the street.

Image and Attitude, Inc. was founded and established in 1999 to address the marketability of economically disadvantaged women striving to achieve economic self-sufficiency for themselves and their families, particular women who were transitioning from welfare to work, victims of domestic violence, and re-entry offenders who are re-establishing themselves back into Image and Attitude is unique and the first in the area to assist women who are transitioning to work by providing "gently-used" business attire for their interview process and for work. In addition, Image and Attitude provides career development support to help the women obtain and retain employment so they can become self-reliant for themselves and their families. Image and Attitude's program has extended to servicing men and at-risk youths. Since inception, Image and Attitude has outfitted and facilitated job-readiness workshops to over 11,500 individuals. The clients are outfitted, by appointment only, in a boutique setting, where they are paired with a trained volunteer, who acts as a Personal Shopper. The trained Personal Shoppers and staff are providing feedback to the clients, such as what is not appropriate for the workplace, how to use the separate garments for additional outfits, the importance of covering tattoos, or removing the body piercing, to name a few. The clients of Image and Attitude are outfitted in a boutique setting by appointment only where they are paired with volunteers who act as personal shoppers. While the women receive advice on selecting appropriate interview and office attire, their attitude and self-perception are also "made over" with encouraging words and emotional support.

I have never met women who possess such courage as the women of Mothers In Charge, a non-profit based out of PA established for the prevention, intervention and education of violence and its effects. This grassroots organization is comprised of mothers, grandmothers, aunts and sisters that have abruptly lost their loved ones to horrific violence. They have turned their plights into conduits for change; devoting their time and energy to mentoring young at-risk women, developing programming for the incarcerated's transition back into their communities, as well as rallying to mobilize neighborhoods in order to strengthen them. The Executive Director of the organization, Dorothy, is very passionate about their cause as her own son was murdered by a neighbor feuding over a parking space. He was only 24 years old and a graduate student. A licensed professional counselor, Dorothy has remained strong and persistent in striving to provide efforts to prevent such losses in this city whether or not she receives funding to do so. Most of the mothers of MIC work together on a volunteer basis, while some receive a meager stipend – so the selflessness of women that go to work all day and are still able to give themselves in their spare time is incredible. Their story is not only a good news story – but an inspirational one. I'm sure you will agree

In 1985, Dr. Jimmie founded Arnaz Ministries School of the Word Bible Institute. Dr. Jimmie designed a curriculum to train individuals who've been called to a five-fold ministry, the ministry of counseling, and those who desire an in-depth study of the Word of God for spiritual fulfillment. Today, the two-year program offers a variety of selective and innovative courses conducive to developing church leaders of all facets. In 1999, Dr. Jimmie founded The Conquerors Community Development Corporation (CCDC), a mission designed to elevate the quality of life for the Southwest Philadelphia community through economic development, child development, technological awareness, spiritual/cultural programs and health initiatives. CCDC holds annual Community Health and Wellness Fairs, Back to School and Job Readiness Fairs. The CCDC also offers free computer classes, tutoring and adult literacy courses for the community. The CCDC was the 2010 host sponsor for the American Heart Association "Go Red for Women" Community Luncheon. This dynamic corporation also provides Thanksgiving Baskets to families throughout the community at large. Dr. Jimmie has recently partnered with the founder of the Amachi Mentoring Program; "People of Faith mentoring children of Promise". Dr. Jimmie's vision is to further institute employment services, daycare services, housing and community revitalization programs, health-related projects and life skills to empower the community. Dr. Jimmie is truly the "Moses" of today's generation. He is a true leader and example of Jesus Christ and like David, is a man after God's heart.

My name is Christina of Serenity Kids & More. We are a new charity organization and we are raising money for Domestic Violence against women, children and Homeless families. Right now we are blessing a family with one year of FREE rent in our 4200 square foot home. All that is needed is for them to fill out an application and past a background check. It is only for one full year for them to get themselves back on track and the following year we give a new family the opportunity. We are with God's grace able to do this and we will be giving away a home later on this year.
